Therapists

Daniel Gavsie

Daniel Gavsie opened the Aliyah Treatment Center because he felt the need to bring clinical Massage Therapy into the healthcare foreground in Quebec. In the several years since its inception, it has grown into a full treatment center with complementary modalities including Naturopathy, Postural Re-Alignment, Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology, Reiki, Thai Yoga Massage, Private Yoga Training and Rehabilitative Strengthening.

As one of the Massage Therapy Specialists at Aliyah Treatment Center, Daniel firmly believes in the importance that clinical Massage Therapy plays in the body's healing process. There is a tremendous education to be realized insofar as the many benefits that Massage Therapy plays in the treatment of elevated stress levels and the subsequent overproduction of autonomic sympahthetic nervous system output, elevated blood pressure, Crohn's disease, Asthma and Chronic Bronchitis, as well as so much more. Daniel developed an incredible team of therapists and a beautiful environment where clients are treated clinically and a training ground for all Aliyah Massage Therapists to augment their skill-sets.

Daniel graduated as the class valedictorian from a two and a half year, medically-based Massage Therapy Diploma Program in Toronto, Ontario. In four provinces, including Ontario, Massage Therapy is a regulated profession represented by the same Regulated Health Professions Act governing physicians, nurses, dentists, chiropractors, physiotherapists and osteopaths. This means that Massage Therapists treat clients throughout hospital environments and are afforded hours of work in cadavre labs.

Daniel has spent the past many years working with clients suffering from varying degrees of body injuries including fractures, sprains, strains, sciatica, disc herniations, whiplash, and TMJ dysfunction, to name a few. Daniel also works with clients suffering from varying degrees of disability ranging from Quadriplegia secondary to various causes, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, Parkinson's disease, various forms of Cancer, Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, Autism and Alzheimer's disease. Daniel has also worked extensively with pregnant women, both high and low risk.

Daniel's prior background as a film and television producer has helped him greatly in his work with the human body. Just as a film set requires a producer to run the budget and manage the production crew (directing team, acting talent, set design, lighting department, camera department, grip department, make-up and wardrobe departments, food services, prop department, editing team and distribution department), so, too, does the human body require an effective producer and production team to develop, manage and produce the greatest film of all---the human life cycle and its supporting cast known as our 11 body systems.

Upon first meeting Philippa, the healing process begins to take effect.

Philippa's passion to encourage the healing process has led her to assist her clientele in treatments ranging from high stress and elevated blood pressure, injuries from sport and overuse, migraines and carpal tunnel syndrome, to various cancers, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, pregnancy stresses, autism, and so much more.
